Honeyblossom Spring

Hello!  Hope your day is fabulous!  I am enjoying a home day with the kids catching up on stuff.  Ariel has a friend over for the afternoon!  :>  It's nice to be home after so many fun days spent enjoying summer!

Today it's my day on the Scrapbooking Cafe Online's blog!  This is the card I made:

I used the Memory Box die Honeyblossom Spring die along with Basic Grey's What's Up pad!  :>

I am entering this card into Simon Says Challenge of Anything Goes! :>

On Monday I took the kids to Tinker Town for the day and they had a blast!  I took tons of photos that it got to the point that they were telling me no more photos!  LOL

Our first ride every year is the Merry Go Round!  Doesn't Carter look like a teenager who doesn't care?

The tilt a whirl was a favorite!  They went on it the most and I had to tell them no sometimes I was scared there tummies couldn't handle it!

This one they didn't want to look at me so I yelled out I've got candy they both turned with the smiles and I got the perfect picture lol!  And nope I didn't have candy!  The other parents told me they would remember that trick!

Well that's it from me!  One more day until the long weekend!

Wild Blooms Birthday

Hello!  It's out last full week of summer over here!  School starts in 9 days.  Sigh it's so sad.  I so enjoy the summer with Ariel and Carter.  I love just being with them!  Yesterday we hit a kids amusement park (for 6 hours we stayed till it closed, we were having so much fun!) And today we had a fun time with friends at there amazing backyard pool!

I have a birthday card to share today.  I haven't been crafting much this summer.  I've just been busy, I lost my mojo, it's been hot, and just can't find the time to sit and create.  BUT I miss it and look forward to getting back at it soon!  I did find some time to create a few days back and created quite a few cards, oh yes it was raining that day... Anyways here is a card!

I used some papers from a Pebbles pad that I won with Gallery Idol, my first use of Pebble products!  I also used a Memory Box die Wild Blooms.

I have a wreath to share today!  A friend is getting married soon and asked me to make her a wreath in her wedding colors and I came up with this, she loved it!

She wanted a striped wreath!  The yarn comes that way!  :>

Well that's it for me today!  I hope to be back soon with more to share!  :>

Summer cards and Carter's Birthday party!

Hello!  Happy Thursday!  It's gotten hot here again and with only two weeks left of summer before school starts we are quite happy it's hot!  :>

Today I have two cards to share that I made for the Scrapbooking Cafe Online's blog!  I used the Hello Summer pad by Echo Park for both of them!  I love this pad and had to make more cards with it before summer comes to a close!  I actually made these cards this morning, the kids and I crafted together!

For more details please check out the post here.

On Tuesday night we celebrated Carter's birthday with a bbq party in the park!  I love that his birthday is in the summer and I can have his party outside at the park, this was our fourth year doing that with great weather! We bring our bbq from home and bbq hot dogs and served it with four salads, Cesar, pasta, coleslaw and potatoe!  He had a terrific turnout for his birthday over 60 people!  Half of them being adults and the other half kids!  With such a big play structure it works!  I love planning parties and we did a superhero theme as he loves superheros right now.  While I did a few decorations I didn't do as many as I had hoped, but that's what happens when the week before pretty much everyday someone in our family is sick (me included) and you don't feel well yourself!  :>  Here's a few photos from the day!

As you can see Carter got very blessed!  Doesn't he look happy, lol?

As favors I made all the kids chocolate covered oreo's on a stick!  I love making these as they are so much easier because you can lay them flat on the back to dry, not as messy and you don't have to worry about chocolate dripping off!  Of course I forgot to take a photo of all of them luckily I have one left!  :>

I really enjoyed planning the party and the party!  But when it was done what a relief!  :>  I so enjoy celebrating him with such good friends! :>  That's it from me, Carter is sleeping and Ariel is bugging me to come and play a game online!  :>

10 minute Card and Carter's 4th Birthday!

Happy Sunday!  Today I have a card for a new challenge to share, it's called the 10 minute craft dash!  10 minutes who can't find time to play along with a challenge like that!  Here is my card:

This card took me 7 minutes and 40 seconds.

I used a poppy stamps Loreali Branch die along with the perched bird die by Memory box.  It's quite the CAS card but I really love it.  I think what took me the longest was adhered double sides tape to the branch!  I am out of liquid glue!  What a fun challenge, you should play along too!

Today is Carter's 4th Birthday!  Hard to believe that my little boy is 4 years old already.  It does feel like yesterday that we brought him home from the hospital!  Carter is very much a boy!  He is so sweet but also so energetic!  :>  He really adds a lot to our family!  He is deeply in love with his older sister, and lucky for him it's mutual!  He plays so well with her and protects her too!  Carter is very energetic is could spend his day running around if he could!  He is amazing at sports and what a throw and kick he has!  And does he ever love sports!  He loves to share love with all of us at random parts of the day.  He is very much my cuddly little boy and loves when it's snuggle time!  He's taller than most boys his own age or older and so skinny!  He loves to climb and jump and has given us a few scares already!  Carter loves to talk and tell us stories, it's always interesting!  I love Carter and am so happy that God blessed us with him.  Happy 4th Birthday my little boy!

I am planning a Super hero birthday party for him this upcoming week so look forward to party details soon!  Until than here are some cute photos of Carter from this past year:

I had to share this photo, Carter got into the dress up at his grandparents (since than she got boy dress up) and came out with this wig, we laughed and laughed!  It's Ariel's little sister lol!

Happy 4th Birthday my sweet boy!  :>

Love Birds

Hello Happy Thursday! It's a sunny but cool day today!  The kids and I went running around for some school supplies and such today!  Getting ready for back to school!

It's Thursday which means I have a post on the Scrapbooking Cafe Online's blog!  Today I have a romantic card to share:

I used the perched die by Memory Box along with papers from the My Mind's Eye Indie Chic line.  I stamped a paper from it with Hero Arts backgrounds Lattice and Old Letter Writing.  Colored the lace pink with Tattered Angels mist.

On Tuesday we had a bit of a scare.  Just before lunch Carter fell downstairs and was crying so I comforted him.  No one saw him fall.  Afterwards he laid low just relaxing, taking a longer than usual nap.  In the early evening he started to cry that his head hurt and than he threw up so I knew I should take him to the hospital.  So we took him to Children's (thankful for Chad's mom taking Ariel for the night) waited almost 2 hours to be seen and than saw the doctor.  Got pieces of the story from him, he had climbed up on top of his ride on car, a Cozy Coop and fell off of it onto the cement basement floor.  We are guessing head first as he has abrasions on his nose, just above his eyebrow and his head.  At the hospital he seemed to perk up and play but than started to throw up a lot.  They gave him something to stop that and did xrays to make sure his skull was okay didn't want to do a CT due to radiation)  Xrays showed it was okay but he did have a concussion.  Carter took it easy the next day relaxing and is doing better.

Summer seems to be passing by so fast all of a sudden.  Ariel goes back to school in 3 weeks today!  Yikes!  That's much too fast very much enjoying having her at home!  :>

Shades of Blue!

Happy Saturday!  We've had quite the day!  Today was Chad's year end baseball tournament!  We had to be there early 8:30 am across the city with his first game at 9!  The kids had a blast playing with the other kids at the game and Chad's team won both games and were the winners of the Trophy! It's a big rivalry between our two church teams, it always seems to be between them at the end!  Chad's team lost to them last year so we are truly happy that they won this year!

Today I have a card to share that I made for the neighbor a bit ago.  She had shared to me that they had to put down there dog Digger and I wanted to let them know that I was thinking of them.  :>

The dog is from a stamp set by My Time Made Easy that I won with my Stamping Royalty package.  The paper is from my favorite line My Mind's Eye's Indie Chic Nutmeg!  :>

I also have a wreath to share with you today!  This was an order, I love how the stripes turned out!  The yarn comes that way!  I don't think I have the patience nor skills to figure it out myself! :>

Quite the shades of blue post, eh?

Lately I've been working on wreaths.  I just feel like making them right now and figure I should go with it.  Thinking of doing craft sales and such come Christmas season.  :>

Well on Thursday night I went to the grocery store with the kids (Chad was at baseball) to get some juice and medicine since Carter's fever was so high and he wasn't drinking water.  I don't keep juice in the house since I don't like to give it the kids (bad for teeth and full of sugar) so I knew if I offered it to him he would drink it happily (when there sick this mommy gives in)  All was fine and while paying out of nowhere Carter threw up all over the floor!  Well strike that off the Mommy's embarrassed list!  I felt so bad I didn't see it coming at all!  The checkstand lady was very nice about it!  The good part was that Carter said that he felt lots better and that was the end of it!  By morning he was pretty much himself!  :>

Well that's it for me!  The kids are exhausted so we are all enjoying some relaxing time on the couch!

Masculine Lorelai Leaf Card!

Hello!  Hope your day is going great!  Today is Thursday so I have a post up on the Scrapbooking Cafe Online's blog!  I have a masculine card to share!

I used a Poppy Stamps die Lorelai Leaf for this card! For more info be sure to check out the Scrapbooking Cafe Online's blog here.

This morning I had a migraine and Carter wasn't feeling well either and he begged me to go and lay with him in bed so I did.  It was much needed for both of us!  Put some quiet music on and snuggled!  Ariel tells us she made us a surprise and I came out to find:

She cleaned up all the toys and tidying the living room!  And made us all lunch!  Mine is the top one.  I don't have a tray so she took a cookie sheet and covered it with towel paper!  She made Carter and me both peanut butter and jam sandwiches but for herself she had raisin toast since we ran out of bread (she gave us the best)  She gave me my favorite dried fruit, fruit, yogurt with granola! She even peeled a carrot!  She pulled out my vitamins too!  I love her I love you note!  She put on lipgloss and kissed it too!  What a blessing Ariel is!  She really is a treasure and I so had tears in my eyes!

Well that's it for me today!  My headache is gone but Carter still seems to be not feeling too well so I am off to go and take care of him!

July Pub and 10th Anniversary!

Hello!  Happy Monday!  It's a long weekend here! :>  I apologize for my lack on blogging as of late.  My brother's wedding took a lot out of us!  Happy to share that my crafting mojo came back yesterday, made three cards and worked on a wreath!  Can't share those right now but I can share a publication that I had for July!  It's from CARDS magazine and for felt!  When I saw the call for felt I knew I had to submit for that since I am always playing with felt for my wreaths so I should try to make a card with it too!  Here is the card:

And here it is in July's CARDS:

I so love seeing how they photograph it!

This past Friday August 3 Chad and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary! :>  It's hard to believe that 10 years have passed since we said I do.  10 years is a long time but yet it doesn't feel like that at all! What an amazing 10 years it has been!  I remember fondly our newlywed time!  And as we became parents together to the sweetest little girl who captured our hearts, and as we grew to a family of 4 with a cute little baby boy!

Chad you are such an amazing husband to me.  You really are the best for me and I am so happy you choose me!  These past 10 years have been such a great life and I look forward to many more years with you!  Marriage isn't always easy but with you it's so worth it!

I pulled out my wedding album and looked through photos and shared it with the kids!  I loved planning my wedding, I spent most of my waking hours for our 11 month engagement planning!  My parents were very generous and we had a beautiful amazing wedding!  Two years ago I shared some photos from our day, since it was before digital they are scanned, I don't have too many scanned!  You can see the post here.

Chad's parents took the kids to the cabin (with cousins) for two nights and Chad and I really enjoyed our time together.  We started by showing houses together!  So love working with him we compliment each other so well!  Chad took me out to dinner at my favorite (not his) restaurant for dinner!  And we spent time just together and on the second night went out on a double date with friends.  So refreshing for our relationship!  :>

Thank you so much for stopping by today, have a great day and I hope your ink pads don't go dry (like my Vintage Photo by ranger is starting to!)
